Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has warned residents of Astana, Almaty, and other cities across different regions.
"On February 25, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Almaty, Karaganda, Temirtau, and Astana," the statement said.
Unfavorable weather conditions result from a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
Astana weather on February 25
Partly cloudy, rain and snow expected in the morning and daytime. Light fog at night and in the morning. Ice on the roads. Southeast wind at 9-14 m/s. Temperatures: -7 to -9°C at night, 0 to +2°C during the day.
Almaty weather on February 25
Partly cloudy, no precipitation. Southwest wind at 3-8 m/s. Temperatures: 0 to +2°C at night, +13 to +15°C during the day.
