Kazhydromet issued warning for residents of Almaty and 6 other cities

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Almaty and other cities across various regions of the country.

"On March 14, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktobe, Shymkent, and Almaty," the statement said.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions refer to a combination of short-term weather factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (pollutant) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.

On March 14, Almaty is expected to have partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. The southwest wind will blow at 2-7 meters per second. The air temperature will be between 0 to -2°C at night and 11-13°C during the day.
