"On November 15, 2024, unfavorable meteorological conditions are anticipated in Almaty, which could lead to increased air pollution," the agency stated.
On November 15, Almaty is expected to have partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. Fog is likely at night, with a northeast wind blowing at 2-7 meters per second. Temperatures will range from -3 to -5°C at night, rising to 2-4°C during the day.
These unfavorable conditions arise from a combination of short-term meteorological factors, including calm winds, weak air movement, fog, and inversion, which contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the lower atmosphere.
Earlier, forecasters announced the weather in Astana and Almaty for the next three days.
