"Unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected on October 31, 2024, in Petropavlovsk, Kostanay, Astana, Almaty, and overnight in Atyrau," the agency announced.
These conditions result from a combination of short-term weather factors (calm winds, light breeze, fog, and inversion layers) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorologists also provided a weather forecast for October 31, warning of hazardous conditions.
"As atmospheric fronts pass through most of Kazakhstan, rain and snow are expected, with heavy rain in the west during the day, while the southeast will remain dry. Fog, strong winds, and icy conditions are forecast across the country, including the north, northwest, central, eastern, and southeastern mountain regions," they added.
Meteorologists have presented the long-awaited weather forecast for the upcoming winter of 2024-2025 in Kazakhstan.
