Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and other cities across different regions of the country.
"On March 13, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, Almaty, and Astana," the statement reads.
Unfavorable weather conditions result from a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower atmospheric layer.
Weather in Astana
On March 13, the capital will have partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. The southwest wind will blow at 3-8 m/s at night and 9-14 m/s during the day. The temperature will be -7 to -9°C at night and around 0°C during the day.
Weather in Almaty
The metropolis will experience partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. There will be light fog at night. The northeast wind will blow at 2-7 m/s. The temperature will be -2 to -4°C at night and +9 to +11°C during the day.
