Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Almaty and other cities in various regions of the country.
"On March 11, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Balkhash, Aktobe, and Almaty," the statement said.
Unfavorable weather conditions refer to a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
In Almaty on March 11, variable cloudiness is expected, with no precipitation. Fog is expected at night and in the morning, with icy roads. The southeast wind will blow at 2-7 meters per second. The air temperature will be 0 to -2°C at night and 8 to 10°C during the day.
