Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev condemned the missile strikes and drone attacks launched from Iranian territory against the United Arab Emirates, which caused multiple civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, citing Akorda.
The Head of State considers such actions unacceptable because they lead to a dangerous escalation of the armed conflict in the Middle East. In Tokayev’s view, the use of diplomatic means is the only correct way to resolve all disputed international issues.
On Tuesday, March 10, the UAE Ministry of Defence said that the death toll from the Iranian attacks on the country had risen to six, while 122 people of 24 nationalities had been injured. It was noted that the injured included citizens of the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
According to the defence ministry, on Tuesday UAE air defence systems intercepted eight ballistic missiles and 26 drones; one additional missile fell into the sea, and another nine drones penetrated the defences and crashed on the country’s territory.
