June 7 Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov had a number of meetings on the sidelines of the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the PM’s Twitter account. PM wrote that he had met UAE Minister of Economy, Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri. The sides “discussed issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including joint investment projects”. Besides, Karim Massimov met Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Roz Nouri Shawis to discuss bilateral trade ties, and Wim Kok, ex-prime minister of the Netherlands, to discuss economic partnership between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands. Karim Massimov also had a telephone talk with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov. “We dwelt on bilateral relations of the two nations, relations between the Customs Union and Ukraine, and the forthcoming visit of the Ukrainian PM to Kazakhstan”, PM Massimov wrote in his blog.
