Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Healthcare has improved its information system to prevent the issuance of prescriptions covered by Mandatory Social Health Insurance (MSHI) for citizens who have permanently relocated abroad. This adjustment was made following a directive from the Supreme Audit Chamber.
The state audit detected such cases this summer during an assessment of the Social Health Insurance Fund and its regional branches. Consequently, the Supreme Audit Chamber instructed the Ministry of Healthcare to take immediate action.
“Currently, the ‘Attached Population Registry’ information system directly receives data from the ‘Individuals’ state database to detach citizens from medical facilities due to relocation abroad. As a result of these measures, starting from October 24 of this year, prescription issuance and fulfillment for patients with this status have been discontinued,” the statement said.
This action fulfills one of the directives issued by the Supreme Audit Chamber, with the implementation of remaining orders still under supervision.
