Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstani travelers will soon have more opportunities for visa-free travel.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, a visa-free agreement with the Kingdom of Morocco will take effect on March 19, while visa-free entry to Montenegro and the Sultanate of Oman has been extended.
Morocco
The mutual visa exemption agreement between Kazakhstan and Morocco will come into force on March 19, 2025. Under this agreement, citizens of both countries holding national passports can stay in the other country for up to 30 calendar days within every six months.
"This agreement allows visa-free entry for citizens of both nations with national passports, permitting stays of up to 30 days within every six months, counted from the date of entry. The agreement opens new opportunities for tourism, business, and cultural exchanges," the ministry stated.
Now, Kazakhstanis can explore Morocco's history, culture, and natural beauty without visa-related concerns, visiting popular cities like Marrakesh, Casablanca, and Fez.
Montenegro
Another positive update comes from Montenegro, where authorities have extended the visa-free regime for Kazakhstani citizens until December 31, 2025. This means travelers from Kazakhstan can continue to visit picturesque cities such as Kotor, Budva, and Podgorica without needing a visa.
Oman
Kazakhstan and Oman already have a visa-free agreement, but some updates have been made.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman has announced an extension of the visa-free stay for Kazakhstani citizens with national passports. Now, Kazakhstanis can stay in Oman for up to 30 days, compared to the previous limit of 14 days," the ministry reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized that the visa-free regime does not apply to employment, education, or permanent residence.
