Tengrinews.kz - On October 1, in Akkol, Akmolinsk region, police rescued a 70-year-old man who nearly drowned in his bathtub.

A local woman alerted the police that her brother had not been in touch since September 30, expressing concern for his health as he lived alone.

Officers Abilay Daukenov, Aray Bek, and Demezhan Sersenbaev quickly headed to the reported address, alongside emergency services personnel.

Upon arrival, the police found the door locked from the inside and decided to enter the apartment through a window.

"When the team got inside, they found the man in the bathtub, where icy water was running. It turned out he had fallen, damaged the faucet, and was unable to get out on his own. Thanks to the timely intervention of the police and rescuers, a tragedy was averted. The victim was hospitalized," the publication stated.
