Kazakhstan intends to bring its GDP per capita to $15000, Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev said when opening the IV Economic Forum today in Astana. “We have set a task to join the club of high income countries by 2016, increasing GDP per capita to $15000”, President said. According to him, as compared to 1994 the national economy has grown 13 times: from GDP per capita of $700 to $10000. “I believe we are entering the path of sustainable economic growth (…) of 7%”, President said.
