Kazakhstan to invest to neighboring Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyz Ministry for Economy Regulation and Kazakhstan’s Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund have agreed to establish a joint venture fund, 24.kg reports, citing the Samruk Kazyna Vice Chairman of the Board Aidan Karibzhanov. According to him, “the Fund will make up $100 million to be invested to develop Kyrgyzstan”. Besides, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Natural Resources and KazAtomProm have signed an agreement on cooperation in mining projects. An agreement on cooperation in power industry has been signed between Medetbek Aitkulov, Director General of Electricheskyie Stantsii LLP of Kyrgyzstan and KEGOK national power grid operator of Kazakhstan.
