Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan’s Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM) has published draft amendments to the rules governing the provision of banking services.
The changes are being introduced in line with the law on protecting consumers of financial services and simplifying regulatory procedures.
According to the draft resolution, the new rules include:
- Mandatory measures to ensure banking services are accessible for people with disabilities and limited mobility, in line with the national standard
- A requirement for banks to provide an online calculator to help customers estimate monthly loan payments
- A minimum three-month notice period for clients before changes to fees and transfer tariffs take effect
- Clear deadlines for responding to customer inquiries
The document also proposes editorial changes to the title of the existing regulation.
