The Kazakh side raised the issue of the growing number of cases in which citizens are denied entry upon arrival in Georgia and deported back.

“During the meeting, the Kazakh side expressed concern over the increasing number of entry refusals and subsequent deportations of Kazakh citizens arriving in Georgia. It was emphasized that the vast majority of Kazakh citizens travel to Georgia for tourism purposes and conscientiously follow the laws of the host country,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan stated.

In response, the Georgian side reported that the number of refusals has significantly decreased since the beginning of May, and this positive trend is expected to continue.

“The Georgian side expressed its readiness to create the most favorable conditions for the entry and stay of Kazakh citizens in Georgia,” the ministry added.
