Member states of the CIS (post-soviet republics) have started negotiations with developing nations so that the latter would support Kazakhstan’s Central Bank Chairman Gregory Marchenko as the single candidate of developing nations to the position of the IMF head, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Following the decision [to field Mr. Marchenko as the candidate], we started negotiations with a number of states. First of all, with developing nations – BRICS countries: China, India and Brazil. The time has come for the voice of developing markets to be heard”, Mr. Massimov said when speaking at the at the sitting of CIS (Commonwealth of independent States) Heads of Government in Minsk.
