Tengrinews.kz - Public hearings announced in Aktau on the issue of renaming one of the microdistricts in the city.

The city akimat reported that hearings will be held in Aktau on renaming the Samal-2 microdistrict.

According to official data, public hearings will be held in Aktau on December 18 at 6 p.m on renaming the microdistrict, which is proposed to be named Antalya.

"This event is taking place as part of strengthening friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey. In Turkey, 57 avenues, parks and monuments have already been named in honor of the Kazakh intelligentsia, immortalizing such famous personalities as Abai Qunanbaiuly, Zhambyl Zhabayev, Tattimbet and others," the Aktau akimat noted.

It is reported that the hearings were organized by the standing commission of the Aktau city maslikhat on social issues, legality and law and order.

Date of the public hearings - December 18, 6 p.m. Venue: Aktau city, 4th microdistrict, Abai Cultural and House of Culture, small hall.

Previously, the akimat (the local government administration) of Aktau has begun preparations for the reconstruction project of the Caspian Sea embankment to improve infrastructure and create a more modern and comfortable space for recreation.
