Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan has been included in the ranking of the best countries for travel by an international publishing company, according to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport.
Kazakhstan has once again attracted the attention of the global tourism audience, having entered the prestigious Best in Travel 2025 rating from Lonely Planet. Every year a list of the best travel destinations for the coming year is published. This year, Kazakhstan has taken its place among the leading countries in the world, having earned recognition for its unique nature, rich culture, and historical heritage.
Lonely Planet's team of experts conducts a detailed analysis of tourist destinations based on recommendations from travelers, company employees, guidebook authors and other travel professionals. The Best in Travel 2025 rating publishes carefully selected destinations that are designed to inspire adventure lovers to new discoveries.
"Kazakhstan is an immersive destination for travelers in search of an unspoiled adventure awash in natural beauty, history and culture. Hikers will love the many trails in Sairam-Ugam National Park, uncrowded by tourists. Visit Shymkent, known for some of the country’s best food, or see Almaty, the old capital, for Kazakhstan’s Soviet heritage," says Lonely Planet.
Kazakhstan's inclusion in the Lonely Planet ranking is not an isolated recognition of its tourism potential. Previously, renowned travel publications such as Conde Nast Traveler and Wanderlust had already listed Kazakhstan among the top global travel destinations for 2024. Moreover, Almaty has been featured in the New York Times' list of the top 52 travel destinations.
Also, tourists from France were impressed with the hospitality from the Kazakhs.
