Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan is developing a unique language model for the digital ecosystem - Kaz-LLM. According to the developers, it will promote the development of the domestic IT services market and protect against external threats, according to the government.
The project to develop our own language model Kaz-LLM should first and foremost become the basis for a number of technological solutions developed by Kazakhstani companies. This will reduce dependence on foreign technologies, which is especially important for protecting national interests, personal data and ensuring the ideological independence of the country.
The use of our own language model will help avoid risks associated with external threats and will contribute to the development of the domestic IT services market. Today, the model is being actively trained on the collected 148 billion tokens.
AI-based products are already being created on the basis of Kaz-LLM. These are AI assistants in such areas as eGov, E-otinish and legal assistant.
To date, the government has created an AI committee, which is responsible for state policy in the field of artificial intelligence and innovation development, and has also approved the concept of AI development for 2024-2029.
Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has proposed optimizing Kazakhstan's court system with the help of artificial intelligence.
