Kazakhstan interested in Ukrainian planes

Kazakhstan is interested in joint production of airplanes for domestic use together with Antonov state company (Kiev), Rosbalt reports citing Kazakhstan then-ambassador Amangeldy Zhumabayev who is now Detuty Minister of Foreign Affairs as saying at a press-conference.Zhumabayev said that Kazakhstan is interested in jointly producing AN-148 plane. “Our idea is to start with assembling and then move on to manufacturing planes for domestic use jointly with Antonov,” he said.Besides, Zhumabayev said that it is necessary to create joint Ukrainian-Kazakhstan companies and produce goods of a high demand. He also noted that negotiations are in process to create agricultural companies with Ukraine. “The crisis showed that we need to pay more attention to creation of joint companies to jointly produce the goods,” the ambassador said.
