Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev visited several road, water supply and cultural facilities' construction sites in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's press-service. “We are entering the final stage of construction of our capital. These are facilities that we are planning to complete by our Independence Day, timed to 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan Independence. We are working to solve all the issues,” Nazarbayev said at the press-briefing after visiting the facilities. The President noted that “the issues of administrative and residential buildings has been solved in the city;” medical, educational and sports facilities have been built. Currently the only types of facilities that remain to be constructed are “for culture and art.” In particular, it is the new Opera and Ballet Theater, the Students' Palace of Arts and cathedral mosque Khazret Sultan. Nazarbayev also called Astana citizens to “take good care of everything that we built for our children, teach them culture and don't litter the streets.” “This has to be taken care of, sports facilities have to be given good care and kept clean.' Every tree has to be taken care of and every person should feel that this city is his place and his responsibility and should treat the city with loving care, "because the city will live for hundreds of years and our children and grandchildren will live in it. They will remember that we have built all this for them,” the President said. At the meeting on Astana development on June 3 the President said: “We will once again review all the issues of the city and identify new tasks.”
