Kazakhstan and the USA have completed bilateral talks on US services accessing the Kazakh market before Kazakhstan’s accession into the WTO, Novosti Kazakhstan reported September 23, citing the Press Service of the Ministry of Economic Integration. “At the talks the sides agreed on conditions that seek to improve investments climate in the O&G, telecom, construction, and financial services realms. The agreements serve the national interests of Kazakhstan, notably favoring domestic producers”, the Press Service quoted Minister of Economic Integration Zhanar Aitzhanova as saying. The USA is a key investor to the Kazakhstan’s economy. The inflow of US direct investments from 1993 to 2011 made up about $40 billion. Kazakhstan plans to complete negotiations on accession into the WTO before the end of 2012, Novosti Kazakhstan had quoted Ms. Zhanar Aitzhanova as saying June 15.
