Tengrinews.kz — Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were presented with a series of joint investment projects between the two countries in Astana, according to the Akorda press service.
Plans include the construction of factories, a logistics center, and a mining and processing plant in various regions across the country, which will create over 3,100 jobs.
Specifically, in the Abai region, Miryıldız intends to build a mining and processing plant. In Almaty, İskefe Holding plans to launch gelatin production.
In the Turkistan region, Orzax Group is establishing a modern production facility for dietary supplements, while in Aktobe, S Sistem Lojistik, in collaboration with Kazpost JSC, is developing a logistics center at the international airport. In Astana, Tiryaki Holding will build a plant for the advanced processing of wheat and peas.
"The implementation of these projects will attract over $920 million in investment and create more than 3,100 jobs in Kazakhstan. Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin reported to the heads of state that, to date, approximately 100 investment projects involving Turkish companies have been implemented in various economic sectors, totaling about four billion dollars," the Akorda statement read.
According to official data, work is currently underway on an additional 50 joint projects with a total value of approximately four billion dollars. This reflects the high level of investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
On May 14, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held the sixth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council in Astana.
In his address, President Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan considers Turkey a brotherly state and an important, reliable partner. The President noted that the deep historical ties connecting the two nations serve as a solid foundation for further strengthening the unwavering friendship between their peoples.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that Turkish-Kazakh relations are strengthening in all areas within the framework of an expanded strategic partnership. He also stated that the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues, from trade to cooperation in energy, the defense industry, transport, and logistics.
