A joint working group, consisting of specialists from both countries, is developing the document.The main task in the development of the agreement is to ensure water supply that would guarantee the preservation of Lake Balkhash at an optimal level.
"The Ministry pays significant attention to ensuring that Lake Balkhash receives the necessary volume of water. Since the beginning of the year, more than 12 billion cubic meters of water have been directed to the lake," said the Ministry's spokesperson Moldir Abdualieva.
