According to Senator Olga Bulavkina, two wind power plants with a total capacity of 1.5 GW are planned for construction in the Karaganda and Pavlodar regions. A 300 MW solar power plant will also be built in the Turkestan region.

“As of today, in two regions the akimats are allocating land plots for design and survey work. In the Turkestan region, a land plot has already been allocated and construction of the solar power plant has begun,” Bulavkina said.
