Kazakh President receives the IACA President

Tengrinews.kz – The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Luis Maria Palma, President of the International Association for Court Administration (IACA), citing the Akorda press service.

On the sidelines of the 9th Congress of Judges in Astana, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Luis Palma, President of IACA, discussed relevant issues of the judicial reform in Kazakhstan.

President Tokayev emphasized that establishing a new judicial administration system in the country has strengthened the independence of Kazakhstan’s courts.

Both leaders acknowledged the importance of close cooperation between judicial bodies and the exchange of experiences in modernizing justice systems and digitizing court proceedings.

President Tokayev expressed confidence that collaboration between Kazakhstan’s Judicial Administration and IACA will elevate the field of court administration to a new level.

Luis Palma praised the reforms in Kazakhstan's judicial management and stressed the importance of other IACA members learning from the country’s experience.

Earlier, on October 4, President Tokayev participated in the 9th Congress of Judges of Kazakhstan, where he emphasized the crucial role of a fair judiciary as the backbone of the state and the judicial system must remain authoritative and impartial.
