Tengrinews.kz - The Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court in Astana has returned a lawsuit challenging the decision to change the clocks in Kazakhstan.

According to the court, citizen A. filed a lawsuit in the capital's administrative court against the government of Kazakhstan, represented by the Ministry of Trade and Integration. He sought to declare the government decree of January 19, 2024, on amendments to the time calculation procedure illegal, as well as the decision of the working group on August 2, 2024, which rejected the "Turn back time" petition and denied access to information. Additionally, he contested responses received on August 1 and 24 of this year.

"The plaintiff's claims, as originally presented, were not subject to consideration under administrative court proceedings. In this regard, the court, following the principle of active judicial involvement, explained to the plaintiff the right to clarify their claims and recommended adjusting the wording of the lawsuit (specifying the final decision and the appropriate respondent)," the publication stated.

However, within the established time frame, no statements clarifying or supplementing the administrative lawsuit were submitted to the court.

"Thus, the plaintiff did not exercise their right and did not clarify (or amend) their claims, which led to the lawsuit being returned. The decision has not yet come into legal force," the court added.
