Tengrinews.kz — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Emmanuel Macron on France’s national holiday, Bastille Day, with reference to the Akorda press service.

The President noted that this significant day symbolizes the unity of the French people and their commitment to the principles of liberty and equality.

The Head of State emphasized that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to further strengthening its strategic partnership with France.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and Emmanuel Macron's personal contribution to expanding Kazakh-French ties.

The President wished the French leader success in his responsible state activities, and prosperity and well-being to the friendly people of France.

Note:Bastille Day is France's primary national holiday, celebrated on July 14. it commemorates the historic storming of the Bastille fortress-prison by insurgent citizens on July 14, 1789, which marked the beginning of the French Revolution and the fall of the absolute monarchy. Today, the day symbolizes the unity of the French nation, liberty, and equality, celebrated with a large-scale military parade on the Champs-Élysées and grand fireworks displays across the country.

As a reminder: in March, at the initiative of the French side, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron. During the conversation, the French leader congratulated the Head of our State on the successful nationwide referendum on the new Constitution, noting its historical significance and describing the event as a major step toward the country's further modernization.

The leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress of bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in the industrial and energy sectors, and voiced their support for continuing joint efforts in these areas.
