In total, as part of the operation, 31 rifled and 225 smoothbore weapons, as well as service equipment, were withdrawn from illegal circulation.

During the activities, police officers inspected remote farmsteads, where 70 units of firearms were discovered and seized.

In addition, residents of the country voluntarily surrendered 35 units of weapons.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded the public that voluntarily handing over illegally stored weapons exempts citizens from criminal and administrative liability. The agency called on Kazakhstanis to act responsibly and contribute to public safety by surrendering weapons that have no legal grounds for storage.
