IV Economic Forum opened in Astana
The IV Economic Forum has been opened at the Palace of Independence in Astana today, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The economic forum is under way (...) High concentration of Nobel prize winners in one place”, Kazakhstan’s PM Karim Massimov wrote in his Twitter account. The two-day forum will include 18 events in three major directions: global economics and finance, business and investment, society and sustainable development. Today the forum will focus on international monetary system (the discussion will be led by Robert Mundell, Nobel Prize of Economics, Columbia University); economic aspects of tourism (led by Ministry of Tourism and Sport, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, “Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists” Association); food security (led by Ministry of Agriculture, JSC “KazAgro”, UN Food and Agriculture Organization); modernization of quasi-government sector (led by National Welfare Fund “Samruk-Kazyna”, “Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists” Association). Besides, the forum will feature a business congress (arranged by Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan “Soyuz “Atameken”) and a congress on innovations (lead by Ministry of Innovation and New Technologies, JSC “National Innovative Fund”).
