Interpol to search for assets taken out of Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz – Interpol will search for assets taken out of Kazakhstan, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This cooperation became possible after the signing of a memorandum between The International Criminal Police Organization – Interpol, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Committee for the Return of Assets of the Prosecutor General's Office.

"Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties agreed to combine efforts to implement joint initiatives, exchange information and best practices in the field of asset recovery and the suppression of illegal financial transactions," the report says.

Earlier, Kazakhstan and Switzerland reached an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases and the return of illegally withdrawn assets.
