Interior Minister Kulmukhanbet Kassymov has suggested abolishing obligatory driving courses, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Many people learn to drive without taking obligatory driving courses. If someone has learnt traffic rules on his or her own, they don't have to take the course. If someone is capable to get prepared for the driving test and the traffic rules competency test on his or her own, we are ready to let these people do without the obligatory driving test”, Kassymov said on his working visit to Karaganda oblast. According to him, the novelty may only be applicable to those willing to drive a motorcycle or a regular automobile. Would-be drivers of public buses and lorries will still have to be trained at accredited schools.
