Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet forecasters have released the weather forecast for August 23, 24, and 25.
Anticyclone to bring a brief calm
At the beginning of the period, most of Kazakhstan will be under the influence of a northwestern cyclone and its associated atmospheric fronts — rain with thunderstorms, hail, and squalls are expected, with heavy rain forecast in the northern and eastern regions.
By the end of the period, a western anticyclone will move into the country, bringing a temporary break in precipitation. Strong winds are expected across the republic, with fog in the north, northwest, and east during the night and morning hours.
What about temperatures?
In the west, intense heat of 35–38°C is expected, and on August 24–25 in the northwest up to 35°C.
In most regions, temperatures will rise:
- in the north up to 25–30°C,
- in central Kazakhstan 22–32°C, in places up to 35°C,
- in the south up to 30–38°C,
- in the southeast up to 27–35°C, in mountainous areas 20–27°C.
Only in eastern Kazakhstan are no significant changes in the temperature background expected.
