Tengrinews.kz - During a working trip to the Zhetysu region, President Tokayev visited the Defense Department of the Karatal District.
The Head of State inspected the building of the Karatal District Defense Department, located in Ushtobe. The facility, which has been in operation since 1983, was completely renovated and transferred to this institution in October of this year.
"Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov reported to Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the Smart project - military commissariat. In accordance with the new initiative, citizens are automatically registered for military service. According to the minister, more than 160 thousand 17-year-old young men are automatically registered for military service every year. The relevant ministry has also developed an information system for mobilization resources. Digital transformation covers all men in Kazakhstan aged 16 to 60. Previously, when military registration was kept on paper, 2.5 million citizens were registered, and after digitalization, there were 6.8 million of them," the Akorda statement said.
In addition, soldiers with an IT background, in the context of implementing the principles of a "listening state", created the Armiakz information service.
This project was developed using artificial intelligence to organize educational and ideological work. The service has a mobile version, which is useful for feedback with parents.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev talked to conscripts and wished them success in their military service.
"Serving the people is a civic duty and a sacred obligation. I wish you to achieve heights in your military career and become generals. Serve with honor and dignity. Be true to your oath," the Head of State said.
