Tengrinews.kz – Passersby saved two boys, 10 and 11 years old, who fell into an icy river in Astana, according to press-service of the Akimat of Astana.

The incident occurred on November 3. Two children, born in 2013 and 2014, who were fishing, accidentally fell into the river.

Air temperature that day did not rise above 12 degrees. But this did not stop two passersby from jumping into the river and saving the boys.

In the video provided by local government administration, one of the boys says that he wanted to wash his hands, but ended up falling into the water. The second child jumped into the river in an attempt to save his friend, which was very brave, but still almost cost them both their lives. It is very difficult to move in icy water, especially with clothes on.

If you see someone fall into the river, we strongly advise you to loudly call for help from adults, but do not jump into the water yourself.

The boy's saviors turned out to be Roman Stratonov and Arslanbek Magzum, who, by the way, is a deputy of the capital's maslikhat.

They pulled the boys out of the water, called an ambulance and handed the boys over to doctors.
