Tengrinews.kz - A visitor from Dagestan, Ali Bayrambekov, recently traveled to Aktau and shared his admiration for the Kazakh side of the Caspian Sea on his Instagram page.

According to him, the water was so clean it left him deeply impressed, especially compared to what he is used to seeing back home.

"Why are our beaches in Dagestan so polluted, and swimming is banned, while in a city right across from Makhachkala—in Kazakhstan, in Aktau—the water is crystal clear?

Our water is really dirty, and swimming is not allowed. In Aktau, it’s ultra crystal clear. I was shocked when I visited. I saw it with my own eyes—it was transparent.

As far as I know, it’s legally forbidden to throw anything in the water or pollute it. I thought I was in the Maldives or Thailand, although I think the water there is dirtier than in Aktau,” the tourist shared.

The swimming season in Aktau starts in June and lasts through the end of September, depending on the weather and water temperature. In June, the water temperature reaches a comfortable +20°C and above, making it an ideal time for beach holidays.
