Tengrinews.kz – Photos of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have appeared on the streets of Moscow, according to Akorda.
Not only Kazakh flags but also photographs of President Tokayev are now displayed in Moscow.
“Welcome to the Russian Federation, His Excellency President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,” read the large bilingual billboards.

On November 11, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Moscow on a state visit at the invitation of the Russian President.

At Vnukovo-2 Airport, a company of the Moscow Garrison Honor Guard and a military brass band were lined up to welcome the distinguished guest. The national anthems of both countries were performed.

It should be recalled that from the moment the aircraft crossed the state border until its landing in Moscow, the President of Kazakhstan’s plane was escorted through Russian airspace by Su-35 fighter jets of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Photos and videos of the escorting military aircraft were published by the President’s press service on its Telegram channel.

Tokayev will remain in Moscow on November 11–12. He is expected to hold talks with Vladimir Putin and, via video conference, address the plenary session of the 21st Kazakhstan–Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum taking place in Uralsk. A number of important bilateral documents are planned to be signed during the visit.
These days, Moscow is decorated with Kazakh flags. One of the city’s main landmarks — the Ostankino TV Tower — has also been illuminated in the colors of the Kazakh flag.

On October 22, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Ermek Kosherbayev and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed Tokayev’s visit to Russia.
Lavrov stated earlier that preparations for the Kazakh President’s state visit were in full swing.
“This will be an event of truly international importance, and I’m not afraid to say that without exaggeration,” Lavrov said previously.
