Heat up to +38°C and thunderstorms with hail: what awaits Kazakhstan on August 26

In the southern regions, abnormal heat of up to +38°C is forecast, with dust storms in some areas. The west will see not only heat but also thunderstorms with hail. In the central part of the country and the capital, dry weather is expected with temperatures ranging from +28…+32°C. In the east and northeast, it will be cooler, with maximum temperatures reaching +22…+27°C.

Astana (Akmola region) – partly cloudy, no precipitation, +28…+30°C during the day, +11…+13°C at night. Karaganda – clear and dry, +26…+28°C. Zhezkazgan – +32…+34°C during the day, +18…+20°C at night, no precipitation.

South

Almaty (Almaty region) – +30…+32°C, no precipitation. Konaev – up to +33°C, clear skies. Taraz – +32…+34°C, dry. Shymkent – scorching heat up to +35…+37°C. Turkestan – up to +38°C. Kyzylorda – +36…+38°C, daytime dust storm.

North and east
