Heat and thunderstorms: storm warning issued in 15 regions of the country

Tengrinews.kz – Heat in the south, squalls and heavy rain in the north. Forecasters have issued a warning of adverse weather conditions for residents of 15 regions, Kazhydromet reports.

Zhetysu region – thunderstorms expected in the east, center, and mountainous areas. West wind in the east and mountainous areas with gusts of 15–20 m/s. High fire danger persists in the south and east of the region. In Taldykorgan, thunderstorms expected at times.

Mangystau region – thunderstorms expected in the northwest and east during the day. Northeast wind in the west and east with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Severe heat of up to +38°C expected during the day. Extremely high fire danger persists across the region; high fire danger remains in the southwest and northeast. In Aktau, northeast wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s expected during the day.

Ulytau region – northwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s expected in the north and center during the day. High fire danger persists in the east. In Zhezkazgan, northwest wind with gusts up to 15 m/s during the day.

Pavlodar region – heavy rain, hail, and squalls expected in the west and north during the day, along with thunderstorms. Southeast wind in the west and north with gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Pavlodar, thunderstorms expected during the day.

Karaganda region – thunderstorms expected in the east during the day. Southwest, west wind in the north and east with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extremely high fire danger persists in the south. In Karaganda, southwest, west wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day.

Atyrau region – thunderstorms, hail, and squalls expected in the west and south during the day. Fog at night and in the morning in the west. Northwest wind shifting to southwest in the west with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Extremely high fire danger persists in the west and east; high fire danger in the south. In Atyrau, thunderstorms expected in the evening.

Zhambyl region – southwest wind shifting to northwest in the southwest, northeast, and mountainous areas with gusts of 15–20 m/s expected in the morning and daytime. Extremely high fire danger persists across the region. In Taraz, extremely high fire danger remains.

West Kazakhstan region – thunderstorms and hail expected in the west during the day. Fog at night and in the morning in the north. Northwest, west wind in the west with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day. Extremely high fire danger persists in the west. In Uralsk, fog expected at night and in the morning.

Almaty region – thunderstorms expected in the south and mountainous areas during the day. Southeast wind shifting to southwest in the south and east with gusts of 15–20 m/s. Severe heat of up to +35°C during the day.

Aktobe region – extremely high fire danger persists in the south.

Kostanay region – thunderstorms expected in the north and east, hail during the day. Fog at night and in the morning in the west and north. West, northwest wind in the west, north, and east with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day. Extremely high fire danger persists in the south. In Kostanay, thunderstorms expected in the morning and daytime; west, northwest wind with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day.

East Kazakhstan region – thunderstorms expected in the south during the day. Southeast wind shifting to southwest in the south with speeds of 15–18 m/s during the day. High fire danger expected in the south.

Abai region – thunderstorms expected in the west, north, and center during the day. Northeast wind shifting to southwest in the west, south, and center with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day. High fire danger expected in the southwest. In Semey, thunderstorms expected in the second half of the day; northeast wind shifting to southwest with gusts of 15–20 m/s during the day.

Akmola region – heavy rain, hail, and squalls expected in the west, north, and east, along with thunderstorms. Southwest, south wind in the west, north, and east with gusts of 15–20 m/s at night and daytime; in the south and east, gusts occasionally up to 25 m/s. In Kokshetau, thunderstorms expected; southwest, south wind with gusts of 15–18 m/s during the day.

North Kazakhstan region – heavy rain, hail, and squalls expected in the north and east during the day, along with thunderstorms. Fog at night and in the morning in the west. Southwest wind shifting to northwest in the north, east, and south with gusts of 15–20 m/s. In Petropavlovsk, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls expected during the day; southwest wind shifting to northwest with gusts of 15–20 m/s.
