Hail, squalls, and heat close to 45°C: Kazakhstanis warned of dangerous weather

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet forecasters have issued a weather forecast for July 15, 16, and 17.

Thunderstorms, rain, and fog

Most of Kazakhstan will experience rain with thunderstorms due to the passage of atmospheric frontal systems. On July 16, heavy rain, hail, and squalls are expected in the west and north, and on July 17 in the northwest and north. Only the southern regions will see hot, dry weather. Winds are expected to strengthen across the country, and fog is forecast in the northwest during the night and morning hours.

Temperature outlook

On July 16–17, extreme heat of 39–44°C is expected in the southwest of the country. On July 17, some central regions may experience up to 40°C. In the south, the temperature will reach 40–44°C, and 40–42°C in the southeast. In the northern regions, intense heat of 30–35°C is forecast, and in the east 35–38°C.
