Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has released the weather forecast for Astana and Almaty for the next three days, from April 5 to 7.
Astana weather forecast
On April 5, partly cloudy skies are expected, with rain and snow at night, along with ice and fog. The southwest wind will be 9-14 m/s, with occasional gusts of 15-18 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be between -2 and 0°C, while daytime temperatures will reach 12-14°C.
On April 6, the city will experience partly cloudy weather with no precipitation. The southwest wind will blow at 5-10 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be 0-2°C, and daytime temperatures will be 16-18°C.
On April 7, partly cloudy conditions will persist, with rain and thunderstorms expected during the day. The southeast wind will be 9-14 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be 3-5°C, while daytime temperatures will be 15-17°C.
Almaty weather forecast
On April 5, the city will be cloudy with rain, occasionally heavy during the day, and thunderstorms. The east wind will blow at 3-8 m/s, with gusts reaching 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures will range from 8-10°C, while daytime temperatures will be 16-18°C.
On April 6, partly cloudy skies are expected with no precipitation. The east wind will be 2-7 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be 8-10°C, and daytime temperatures will be 18-20°C.
On April 7, cloud cover will increase, and rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected during the day. The west wind will be 3-8 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures will be 10-12°C, and daytime temperatures will be 20-22°C.
Meanwhile, the Almaty Department of Emergency Situations has advised residents and visitors to take precautions and avoid hiking in the mountains on April 5.
"Be cautious! If a storm warning is issued for heavy precipitation (snow or rain) or strong winds, it is best to postpone your mountain hike until the weather improves. Do not delay your return home until late at night, as you may struggle to find your way back," the statement read.
Earlier, meteorologists from Kazhydromet released a weather forecast for April 2025 in Kazakhstan.
