Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrives in Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz arrived in Kazakhstan on September 16 for an official visit.

Scholz landed in Astana on an Airbus A350 named "Kurt Schumacher," honoring the first chairman of the Social Democratic Party in post-war Germany. He was welcomed at the airport by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov.

During his visit, Scholz is scheduled to participate in high-level talks and a "Central Asia + Germany" summit. The agenda includes discussions on strategic cooperation, economic partnership, and joint investment projects.

Previously, Kazakhstan's President and Chancellor Scholz held bilateral meetings during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Germany last year.
