Frosts, fog, and thunderstorms: Kazakhstan braces for sharp weather changes

In Astana, partly cloudy, rain and thunderstorm in the afternoon. East wind 9–14 m/s. Air temperature at night 6–8°C, during the day 17–19°C.

In Almaty, partly cloudy as well, occasional rain in the morning and afternoon. Southeast wind turning northwest 3–8 m/s, gusts up to 15 m/s. Temperature at night 12–14°C, daytime 21–23°C.

In Shymkent, also partly cloudy, rain and thunderstorm at night and in the morning. Northwest wind 8–13 m/s, gusts 15–20 m/s. Temperature at night 13–15°C, daytime 23–25°C.

In the south and east of Akmola Region, rain and thunderstorm expected in the morning and daytime. East and northeast wind 9–14 m/s, gusts 15–20 m/s in the west and south during the day. Temperature at night 3–8°C, in the west and south around 11°C, frost of -1°C on soil surface in the northeast, daytime 15–20°C. In Kokshetau, partly cloudy, no precipitation. East/northeast wind: 2–7 m/s at night, 7–12 m/s during the day. Temperature at night 6–8°C, daytime 17–19°C.
