From thunderstorms to 36°C heat: Weather forecast for Astana and Almaty

Weather in Astana

On August 13, the capital will see partly cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms during the day, and some fog in the morning. Winds from the southwest will blow at 9–14 m/s, with gusts up to 15–18 m/s in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures will be 11–13°C, rising to 24–26°C during the day.

On August 14, partly cloudy conditions are expected again, with occasional rain and thunderstorms. Winds will shift from southwest to west at 9–14 m/s, gusting to 15–20 m/s during the day. Lows will be 13–15°C, with daytime highs of 20–22°C.

On August 15, Astana will have partly cloudy skies, rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds, with possible fog at night and in the morning. Winds will again shift from southwest to west at 9–14 m/s, gusting to 15–18 m/s in the afternoon. Temperatures will range from 12–14°C at night to 19–21°C during the day.

Weather in Almaty

On August 13, Almaty will be partly cloudy with no rain. Northern winds will blow at 3–8 m/s. Overnight temperatures will be 21–23°C, and daytime heat will reach 34–36°C.

On August 14, partly cloudy weather will continue, with rain and thunderstorms expected during the day. Winds will shift from southwest to west at 3–8 m/s. Lows will remain at 21–23°C, with highs of 34–36°C.

On August 15, partly cloudy skies will be accompanied by rain and thunderstorms. Winds will again shift from southwest to west at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures will drop slightly to 18–20°C at night and 31–33°C during the day.
