Forecasters warn residents of Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet warns residents of Astana, Almaty and 11 other cities in Kazakhstan.

"On November 27, 2024, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Almaty, Astana, Aktobe, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash and Temirtau," the report says.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.

Earlier, forecasters published an advisory weather forecast for the winter of 2024/2025, according to which residents of Kazakhstan can expect "temperature swings" with sharp changes and difficult weather conditions.
