Forecasters warn of extreme heat and heavy rain in Kazakhstan

Unstable weather is expected across Kazakhstan due to the passage of frontal systems. Forecasters predict rain with thunderstorms, strengthening winds, squalls, and possible hail.

Heavy rain is expected on June 16 in the Mangystau, North Kazakhstan, and Akmola regions, and on June 18 in the North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions.

Extreme heat is expected in the southwest and south of the country, with daytime temperatures rising to +35...+40 degrees Celsius. In northern, eastern, and central Kazakhstan, temperatures will climb to +35...+38 degrees. No significant temperature changes are expected across the rest of the country.
