Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for April 17, 18, and 19.
According to the forecast, most of Kazakhstan is expected to experience worsening weather conditions due to a northwestern cold front.
Precipitation and cold weather in Kazakhstan
On April 17, conditions will be especially harsh in the eastern regions, where heavy precipitation is expected, including snow in some areas. In the northern, central, and eastern regions, nighttime temperatures will drop to –1 to –6°C, and daytime temperatures will only reach +1 to +8°C.
In mountainous and foothill areas, rain mixed with snow is expected at night, and heavy rain is possible during the day. Frosts of up to –3°C are expected in some areas overnight.
Meanwhile, in western Kazakhstan, no precipitation is expected and the weather will be warmer. Daytime temperatures will rise from +17…+22°C up to +23…+28°C.
Across Kazakhstan, wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are also forecasted, along with fog during the night and early morning hours.
