Tengrinews.kz – Food delivery requirements in Kazakhstan have been updated, according to the Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Starting in January, couriers are now required to have a personal medical record book of the established format with proof of medical check-ups and must complete professional hygiene training. They are also expected to adhere to general behavioral norms.
Under the new regulations, consumers will have the option to inspect products upon delivery for external packaging damage. This applies to both home deliveries and pick-ups from designated points.
"The implementation of this standard will ensure transparency and standardization of requirements in the food delivery market, increase consumer trust in the services provided, and contribute to strengthening the food safety system in the Republic of Kazakhstan," stated Zhanna Yesenbekova, Chairperson of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology.
The newly adopted standard aims to improve the quality of food delivery services provided by restaurants, cafes, logistics companies, and couriers.
