Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet has issued storm warnings for Astana and Shymkent, as well as for 15 regions of the country.
According to forecasters, Almaty is expected to see icy conditions and fog, while Shymkent will have fog at times.
In the first half of the night, heavy snow is forecast in the mountainous areas of the Turkestan Region. Blowing snow is possible in the south and in mountainous areas. Fog and icy conditions are expected in the west, south, and mountainous areas. Northeasterly winds in the south and mountainous areas will reach 15–20 m/s. In Turkestan, fog is expected at times.
In the mountainous areas of the Almaty Region, heavy snow is expected at times. Icy conditions and fog are forecast in the south and mountainous areas. Northwestern and westerly winds in the south and mountainous areas may gust to 15–20 m/s. In Konaev, icy conditions and fog are expected.
In the central and mountainous areas of the Zhetysu Region, fog and icy conditions are possible. Westerly winds may gust to 15–20 m/s in the east during the day. In Taldykorgan, fog is expected at times at night and in the morning.
At night, snow and blowing snow are expected in the south and mountainous areas of the Zhambyl Region; during the day, snow and blowing snow are forecast in the mountainous areas. Fog and icy conditions are expected at times. Northwestern winds in the mountainous areas may reach 15–20 m/s. In Taraz, fog and icy conditions are expected at times.
In the North, East, and South of the East Kazakhstan Region, snow and blizzards are forecast. Fog is possible at night and in the morning in the north and south. Southeasterly winds will shift to southwesterly; in the southeast, winds may reach 15–20 m/s.

At night in the west, south, and east of the North Kazakhstan Region, snow and blowing snow are forecast; during the day in the south and east, light snow and blowing snow are possible. Fog is expected in the west. Southwesterly winds may gust to 15–20 m/s in the south and east during the day.
At night and in the morning in the north and east of the Kostanay Region, snow and blizzards are expected. Fog is forecast in the west and north of the region. Southwesterly winds in the north and east may reach 15–20 m/s.
In the morning and during the day in the west, north, and east of the Karaganda Region, light snow and blowing snow are forecast. Fog is possible at night and in the morning in the north and east.
During the day in the north, east, and southwest of the West Kazakhstan Region, snow and blowing snow are expected. Southeasterly winds may gust to 15–20 m/s in the north, east, and southwest of the region during the day.
In the south and east of the Atyrau Region, fog and icy conditions are possible. In Atyrau, icy conditions are expected.
In the west, north, and east of the Aktobe Region, snow and blowing snow are forecast. Fog is expected in the south of the region.
In the northeast of the Mangystau Region, fog and icy conditions are expected.
In the central part of the Kyzylorda Region, fog is possible. In Kyzylorda, fog is expected at times.
