Five sources of water in Kazakhstan have been named

According to the ministry, the deposits supply Almaty, Almaty, and Aktobe regions.

Almaty deposit

Explored to provide Almaty with domestic and drinking water and industrial enterprises with technical water. Mineralization is up to 0.5-0.6 grams per liter, the quality of the water is good and meets the requirements for "drinking".

The projected volume of groundwater in category "A" is 457 thousand cubic meters. Today, 200 thousand cubic meters of water are extracted from the deposit per day.

Kokzhide groundwater deposit

Located 95 kilometers from the city of Emba in the Aktobe region. Groundwater is used for domestic and drinking water supply.

Today, 7.84 thousand cubic meters of water are extracted per day. The estimated life of the field is 27 years.

The projected volume of groundwater reserves in categories "A + B + C1" is 196.5 thousand cubic meters per day.

Talgar deposit

Located 30 kilometers east of Almaty. Explored for domestic and drinking water supply of the metropolis. The volume of groundwater in categories "A + B + C1" is approved at 989.28 thousand cubic meters per day.

Merken deposit

Situated on the northern slope of the Kyrgyz ridge between the villages of Merke and Novovoskresenskoye. Explored for the purpose of domestic and drinking water supply and irrigation of the lands of the district center - the city of Merke and adjacent settlements.

Groundwater reserves are approved for categories "A + B + C1" in the amount of 770 thousand cubic meters per day.

Kenkiyak deposit

Located 11 kilometers from the village of Kenkiyak in the Aktobe region. Underground water is used for drinking water supply and technical water supply of industrial enterprises. Today, 1,442 cubic meters of water are extracted per day.

The projected water reserve for categories "A + B" is 5 thousand cubic meters per day.
